In the range PHILOSOPHICA (I-IV), we translate the différen items edited by J. Klagge & A. Nordman and published in a single volume, under the title: Philosophical Occasions (1914-1951)

The three items collected in this volume deal with a single central topic : the problem of the privacy of personal experience and of the reports and descriptions we make of it. They continue the investigation of the grammar of experience and reassess its irreducibility to the grammar of physical objects. However they are not exactly in the same position as what Wittgenstein wrote a little earlier, since, on the one hand, they dismiss the « private ostensive definition » and criticize the very idea of private language and justification, and, on the other hand, they consider the physical object as “das Primäre”.
